Cookie Policy
Last updated:
This Cookie Policy explains how BlockBreaker100 (blockbreaker100.com), published by the PLAY100 Network, uses cookies and similar browser technologies — what is set today, what would be set if we enable analytics or advertising, and how you control it.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device so it can remember something about your visit. They are usually sorted by purpose:
- Strictly necessary — the site cannot work properly without them, and they do not require your consent
- Analytics — measure how the site is used
- Advertising — select, cap, and measure ads
BlockBreaker100 also uses localStorage, a separate browser storage mechanism
described in Section 4.
2. What We Set Today
BlockBreaker100 currently sets strictly necessary cookies only. We run no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies at this time.
| Cookie | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | BlockBreaker100 | Strictly necessary | Keeps the site functioning during your visit | Deleted when you close the browser |
Web fonts are served from our own domain, so no request is made to Google Fonts or any other font host.
3. What Would Be Set If We Enable Analytics or Advertising
Neither is running yet. We are publishing the detail in advance so nothing appears without warning, and so you can see exactly what a future consent banner would be asking about.
Analytics — planned
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguish visitors and measure sessions and pageviews in aggregate | Up to 2 years |
Advertising — planned
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads, __gpi | Google AdSense | Ad serving, frequency capping, and measurement | Up to 13 months |
IDE | Google (DoubleClick) | Ad targeting and performance measurement | Up to 13 months |
test_cookie | Check whether the browser accepts cookies | 15 minutes |
Before any of these is set, this table will be updated to say it is live, and — where the law requires consent — the consent banner described in Section 5 will appear first.
4. Browser Storage and Your Game Progress
Alongside cookies, BlockBreaker100 uses your browser's localStorage to remember
your progress and preferences. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is never
sent to our servers; it stays entirely on your device.
| Key | What it stores | Retained until |
|---|---|---|
play100_voted_{gameId} | Your 1–5 star rating for a game, so you are not asked to vote twice | You clear browser data |
play100_vote_{gameId} | Your like or dislike choice for a game | You clear browser data |
game_progress_* | In-game progress, high scores and level data, written by the embedded game | You clear browser data |
Clearing your browser storage resets all saved game progress. This cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it for you — we never held a copy.
5. How Consent Works
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, and they are all we set today. No consent banner appears yet because there is nothing non-essential to consent to.
When we introduce analytics or advertising, we will deploy a consent management platform, and it will:
- ask for your choice before any analytics or advertising cookie is placed
- let you accept all, reject all, or choose by category, with rejecting no harder than accepting
- record your choice and apply it on later visits
- let you change or withdraw your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it
- keep BlockBreaker100 fully usable either way — refusing does not lock you out of any game or article
Browser settings are not a consent mechanism. Some websites tell readers that adjusting browser preferences is how they accept or refuse non-essential cookies. That is not how consent works under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, and we will not describe it that way. Browser controls are still a useful way to clear or block cookies after the fact — see Section 7.
6. How to Change or Withdraw Your Choice
Once the consent banner is live, a link in the site footer will reopen it so you can change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent stops any further non-essential cookies from being set; it does not undo processing that already happened while consent was in place.
You can act independently of us at any time:
- Clear site data in your browser to remove everything BlockBreaker100 has
stored on your device, cookies and
localStoragealike - Opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Control ad personalization at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info/choices
7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working. Clearing storage will reset your game progress.
8. Your Rights Under the GDPR and ePrivacy Rules
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to:
- be informed about the cookies a site uses — which this policy is for
- give or refuse consent to non-essential cookies before they are set, through the mechanism described in Section 5
- withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it
- access personal data associated with you, and request its deletion
- complain to your local data protection authority
Because BlockBreaker100 has no accounts and keeps your progress on your own device, we typically hold very little personal data. That is a fact about how the site is built — it is not a substitute for your rights, and it does not reduce them. Our Privacy Policy explains how to exercise them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy whenever our use of cookies changes, and we revise the "Last updated" date at the top. A material change — switching on analytics or advertising — will be published here before it takes effect.
